Supporting the community

The credit union philosophy of “people helping people” has shaped Golden 1's initiatives and values to make a positive difference in the communities we serve. Some of our ongoing events and sponsorships include free-to-the-public shred events, blood drives, and community food drives. Beyond that, our employees generously give back to their communities through volunteerism and donations. Employees have the opportunity to donate directly to charities like the United Way and Children’s Miracle Network, volunteer at local charitable organizations, participate in team athletic events, and sit as board and committee members. Some organizations we support include:

  • American Diabetes Association
  • Shriner’s Hospital
  • Walk-to-End Alzheimer’s
  • Sacramento Food Bank
  • Coastal Clean Up Day
  • Fresno Day of Caring
  • And many more
