Employee Development Facilitator I


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Facilitate Golden 1 primary retail training programs in a variety of formats using adult learning principles, contemporary methods, applications, and systems, as appropriate. Collaborate and coordinate with other departments on training projects for effective methodologies, as needed.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
  1. Train new and existing Branch and Contact Center employees on Golden 1 retail core classes at the Corporate Office and a variety of locations throughout California, providing participant evaluations upon request.
  2. Train Branch and non-Branch staff on new products, system applications, programs, and procedures as applicable.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
  4. Review feedback reports on student class evaluations and make appropriate changes/updates as needed to ensure that classes meet student needs and the vision, mission, and values of the credit union.
  5. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to self-improvement in areas related to learning & development.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PEFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
  1. Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to present information positively, professionally, logically, and concisely.
  2. The ability to facilitate effective training sessions and create job aids and complementary documents to engage, educate, coach, and motivate participants by example in all training activities.
  3. The ability to multi-task effectively and to work productively with short timelines.
  4. Strong team skills and the ability to work constructively and collaboratively with management, peers, and other departments.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACT & RELATIONSHIP:
INTERNAL: All employees.
EXTERNAL: Training associations, community organizations and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associate degree in writing, training or communication preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Two years or more experience in presenting/facilitating training programs and in addition, two years' experience working in internal teller, new account, and loan positions with sales duties preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  1. Strong facilitation and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to present information logically and to engage students in their development consistent with
    Credit Union goals.
  3. Ability to multi-task effectively, and work independently.
  4. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Adobe Presenter and Connect preferred.
  5. Fluent in Spanish and an understanding of the Hispanic community a plus.
  6. Strong team skills and the ability to work constructively and collaboratively with management,
    peers, and other departments. Ability to maintain a solution oriented overall team approach within
    and outside Learning & Development.
  7. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the credit union data processing systems, products, services, and
    sales goals.
  8. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to self-improvement in areas related to learning &
    development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Combined sitting, standing, and moving throughout the day performing work-related functions.
  2. Vision in the normal range to accomplish tasks.
  3. Hearing within the normal range required. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if
    needed.
  4. Frequent travel may be required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
A valid California Driver's License is required.
ATD, Sacramento ATD, CSU, or similar Train-the-Trainer certification.
